Four Foundational Kettlebell Programs
This page is intended for those who have attended the Toughen Up Basic Kettlebell seminar and have learned the “basic five” exercises, or people who have kettlebell experience and are looking to organize effective training programs that they can incorporate on a consistent basis.

These programs are not limited to the basic five exercises. You can stick to the exercises you are already familiar with, or you can add others that you’re proficient at. Its the basic structure of these programs that I’d like to share.
There are dozens of excellent exercises you can perform with the kettlebell. However, I am a strong advocate of starting and the beginning and sticking to the basics to form a solid foundation to build on with what I consider the “basic five” kettlebell exercises:
- The Goblet Squat
- The Kettlebell Swing
- The Turkish Get Up
- The Kettlebell Clean
- The Kettlebell Press
There are countless ways to design training programs based on your training goals and level of experience, but here are what I consider the best of the best programs to start with.
